1.Who we are and what SHRAYTA is
SHRAYTA is a classified-ads app and service for Kuwait. People and businesses use it to advertise items, vehicles, property and services, and to contact each other. It is operated by [company legal name, to be added] ("SHRAYTA", "we", "us").
We are an intermediary. We provide the place where ads are shown and where users can reach each other. We are not the seller, the buyer or the agent of anyone, and we are not a party to any deal between users. We do not own, inspect, store, deliver or guarantee what is advertised.
2.Using SHRAYTA and these terms
By creating an account, posting an ad or otherwise using SHRAYTA you agree to these terms, to the Posting rules (available in the app) and to the Privacy policy. Browsing ads does not need an account.
If you do not agree, please do not use the parts of SHRAYTA that need an account.
3.Eligibility and your account
- You must be at least 18 years old to create an account.
- To post an ad or contact sellers through chat you sign in with a mobile phone number that we verify with a code sent on WhatsApp or by text message. You may have one account, for yourself only. Do not share it or sell it.
- Keep your phone number and verification codes safe. Never give a code to anyone. If you lose access to your number you may lose access to your account, chats and ads, and we may not be able to restore them.
- The details you give us must be true and kept up to date. Tell us at once if someone else has used your account.
4.Your ads: accurate, one item each
- The category, title, description, price and photos must describe what you really offer. You must own it or be allowed to sell it. Do not mislead.
- One item or one service per ad. Post separate ads for separate items. Do not post the same or a very similar ad again: repeats may be removed without warning.
- Show a real price in Kuwaiti dinars. Keep phone numbers and links out of titles and descriptions: use the contact options of the ad, so your number is shown only if you choose.
- Do not reserve, pin or buy ad positions in order to resell them.
5.Businesses, brokers and seller levels
Businesses, dealers and brokers are welcome. They are always labelled as such, so buyers know who they deal with, and a broker adds a licence number. A "Verified business" mark means only that we checked the business documents we asked for; it is not a guarantee of any deal.
Seller levels are earned by activity and good conduct. They can not be bought, and we may lower or remove a level when the rules are broken.
6.What you can not post
You must follow the Posting rules, which list what is never allowed (for example weapons, alcohol and drugs, tobacco and vaping, medicines and unlawful health claims, protected wildlife, counterfeit and stolen goods, jobs and domestic-worker ads, investment offers, scams) and what needs a licence or an authorization first. The list is also part of these terms.
Anything that is illegal in Kuwait can be removed even if the rules do not name it.
7.Your responsibility and Kuwaiti law
You are responsible for your ads, your messages and your deals. You must follow the laws of Kuwait, including those on cybercrime, health advertising and telecommunications. You carry any civil or criminal responsibility, and any compensation or damages, that your ad causes.
If your trade or craft needs a licence (for example plumbing, electrical work, air conditioning, pest control, moving or cleaning), you must hold it, add its number to your ad and show it when we ask. Buyers should check it.
8.Removal, restrictions and appeals
We may check ads and messages, hide or remove an ad, refuse to publish it, restrict features, and suspend or close an account, a phone number or a device, when these terms or the Posting rules are broken, when an ad is illegal, or to protect other people. We may do this without warning when the case is serious or urgent. Abusive messages, in chats or anywhere else, are a reason for restriction too.
A removed ad is generally not compensated. If you think we made a mistake, contact support, quote the rule shown, and a person will look at it again.
9.How long ads last
An ad stays up for 30 days. Before it ends you can renew it. We may set a different time for some categories or ad types, and we tell you when we do. An expired ad is hidden from other people, and you can still see it in your own list.
10.Paid features
SHRAYTA has no paid features today: nothing in the app costs money.
When optional promotions open (such as Pin to top, Gold and Highlight), we will show you how you pay, what each feature includes and the refund rules before you pay, and we will update these terms first. Promoted ads are always clearly labelled as paid placements.
11.Safety and deals between users
A deal is between you and the other person. We do not guarantee the item, the service, the quality or accuracy of an ad, who the other person is, or that a deal will be completed, and we do not compensate losses in deals between users, except where the law says we must.
- Meet in a public place and check the item before you pay.
- Never share a verification code or card details, and do not pay before you have seen the item.
- Report an ad, a message or a person that looks wrong, and block anyone you do not want to hear from.
12.Messages and respectful conduct
Be respectful. Do not insult, threaten, harass or discriminate against anyone, do not send spam or unwanted promotions, and do not collect other people’s personal data. Do not use the app to defame a person, a company or an institution: use Report instead.
14.Intellectual property and the app
The SHRAYTA name, logo, app, design, databases and content belong to us or to those who license them to us. You may use the app as it is meant to be used.
You may not: copy ads, seller details or the catalogue in bulk (scraping) or build a competing database from them; reuse, resell, redistribute, translate and republish our data without our written permission; reverse engineer the app; or get around its technical limits. We may block such access, and we may take legal action.
15.Your content and our licence to show it
Your photos and words stay yours. You confirm that you have the right to post them and that they do not infringe anyone else’s rights (do not use other people’s photos, and do not show identity documents).
By posting, you give SHRAYTA a limited, non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to host, display and reproduce your ad content, to resize, compress and translate it for display, and to show it in SHRAYTA, including in previews and in pictures you or others choose to share from the app, for as long as the ad is live and for the short time needed for backups and legal duties. This is a licence, not a transfer of ownership: we do not sell your content, and we do not use it for anything else.
16.Availability and changes to SHRAYTA
We work to keep SHRAYTA reliable, but we can not promise that it will always be available or free of errors. We may change, suspend or stop a feature. SHRAYTA is provided as it is, to the extent the law allows.
17.Limits on our liability
To the extent Kuwaiti law allows, we are not liable for deals between users, for what users post, or for indirect or consequential losses. Nothing in these terms limits a liability that can not be limited by law.
18.Changes to these terms
We may update these terms. For a material change we tell you in the app, normally at least 14 days before it takes effect, and we ask you to accept again where the law requires it. The date at the top of this page always shows the current text. If you do not agree to a change, stop using SHRAYTA and delete your account.
19.Governing law and disputes
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Kuwait. Disputes are for the competent courts of the State of Kuwait, without limiting any right you have under the law to go elsewhere.
If the Arabic and English texts differ, the Arabic text prevails.
